Talking about Crema Marfil marble means talking about design, architecture, and decoration. For this reason, the best-known architects and interior designers in the world use this valuable material in order to create countless projects.

Nature has been able to create, over the years, a beautiful and unique material called Crema Marfil. Consequently we, at Pulycort, have tried to maintain the highest standards, taking care of this natural stone in every process, that is, from the blocks extraction to the manufacturing and laying of this material, always having in mind the same idea: to create a unique atmosphere.

Unlike other porcelain materials, Crema Marfil follows nature patterns, thus there are no two similar pieces of this material, which makes this stone exceptional and inimitable.

We know that we cannot go against nature, but thanks to the number of years that we have been working with the material, we have learned that, for example, it can be classified according to its different characteristics such as the lack of veins or the different kinds of tonality.

One of the most important advantages of Crema Marfil is its versatility.

This material can be given different appearances depending on the different projects needs:

RAW CREMA MARFIL: the surface of the material has not been processed yet. It has not been polished yet.

POLISHED CREMA MARFIL: thanks to the polishing process, we can highlight this natural stone color, giving brightness and luminosity to the architectural atmosphere where this marble is going to be placed.

HONED CREMA MARFIL: by rubbing this stone with sandstone we may get a matt appearance. This finish is not as hard as the raw one because the first layer of polishing is applied to the stone.

BRUSHED CREMA MARFIL: by aging this stone we can give this material a lightly wrinkled brightness appearance, as beautiful as the passing of the time itself.

BUSH-HAMMERED: with this process, we can get a uniform wrinkled surface and, therefore, a more perdurable resistance for outdoor facilities, as for example, swimming-pools.

SANDBLASTED: the roughness in this process is lighter than the bush-hammered one and therefore, the holes produced on the stone are less deep.

SPLIT FACE: this finish aim is to give the stone a rustic appearance. This is one of most architects’ and designers’ favorite finishes not only for indoors but also for outdoors.

Walking on marble is an enduring luxury that becomes a reality in trendy rooms with Crema Marfil floor tiles.

A Crema Marfil Coto marble floor in a polished finish is the perfect backdrop for the beige leather armchair to deploy its full retro charm. A thick beige rug is a perfect detail to complete the effect.

When seeking a quality cladding that lasts over time, Crema Marfil Coto marble meets all requirements and also provides any space with incredible natural luminousness.

Crema Marfil is a warm-toned marble with a smooth and velvety appearance. Its light cream background is beautifully accented with strokes of pale taupe and lighter cream giving it a rich and inviting feel.

crema Marfil Detail Information

Marble Kitchens: Marble is a metamorphic rock composed of recrystallized carbonate minerals, most commonly calcite or dolomite. Marble may be foliated. Geologists use the term “marble” to refer to metamorphosed limestone; however, stonemasons use the term more broadly to encompass unmetamorphosed limestone. Marble is commonly used for sculpture and as a building material.

crema Marfil:

White marbles have been prized for their use in sculptures since classical times. This preference has to do with its softness, which made it easier to carve, relative isotropy and homogeneity, and relative resistance to shattering. Also, the low index of refraction of calcite allows light to penetrate several millimeters into the stone before being scattered out, resulting in the characteristic waxy look which gives “life” to marbles sculptures of any kind, which is why many sculptors preferred and still prefer marbles for sculpting.

Construction marble

Construction marble is a stone that is composed of calcite, dolomite or serpentine which is capable of taking a polish. More generally in construction, specifically the dimension stone trade, the term “marble” is used for any crystalline calcitic rock (and some non-calcitic rocks) useful as building stone. For example, Tennessee marbles are really a dense granular fossiliferous gray to pink to maroon Ordovician limestone that geologists call the Holston Formation.

Ashgabat, the capital city of Turkmenistan, was recorded in the 2013 Guinness Book of Records as having the world’s highest concentration of white marble buildings.
